Ms. Francis Louvinie Jackson, age 93, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
Louvinie was born on Sunday, November 22, 1931, in Dalton, Georgia, to the late Mr. Claude James Jackson, Sr., and the late Mrs. Gladys Louvinie Goswick Jackson.
In addition to her parents, Louvinie is preceded in death by her infant son, Robbie Griggs; daughters, Judy Dial, Marydell Fowler, and Louise Lowery; granddaughter, Jennifer Dial; brothers, Claude Jackson, Jr., Willie Jackson, and Walter Jackson; sister, Claudine Caylor; sisters-in-law, Shirley Jackson and Betty Davis; brothers-in-law, George Lowery, Bill Fowler, and Doyle Caylor; and her son-in-law, Terry Harden.
Louvinie is survived by her sons, Homer Griggs and Ricky Griggs; daughter, Charlotte Harden; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Berta Jackson; and stepson, Lee Griggs. Louvinie is further survived by a host of nieces and nephews whom she helped raise and take care of.
Funeral services to honor and celebrate Louvinie's life will be conducted on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating. She will be laid to rest in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
Her family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour.
