Alan Carl Ransdell of Rocky Face, GA, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the age of 66. Alan was born in Cheverly, MD, on August 19, 1959, the son of the late Donald Duncan Ransdell and Margarette Elizabeth Thacker Ransdell. In addition to his parents, Alan was preceded in death by a brother, Randall Ransdell. Survivors include a sister, Sandra Ransdell DeBalski Haley; brother, Keith Ransdell (Richard Whitehead); niece, Joyce DeBalski Cochran (Ron); and a great-nephew, Fisher Cochran. Alan was born in Maryland and lived in Beltsville until he was 11 years old. Then his family moved to a farm in Chatsworth, GA, where he attended school and graduated from Murray County High in three years. Alan also lived in Jacksonville, FL, for more than 30 years, where he had many careers, the later and most favorite being an antiques appraiser. He enjoyed the many friendships he developed over the years there. He also met his life partner of more than 20 years, Thomas Hills, in Jacksonville as well. After Tom's passing, Alan later decided to move closer to his family and returned to Georgia. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
