Betty Head Duckworth, born June 30, 1944, in Walker County, Georgia, passed away, Wednesday, October 1, 2025, surrounded by love and family. The daughter of Charlie Head and Cuma Kinsey Head, Betty was known for her nurturing spirit and quiet joys-growing African violets, watching hummingbirds, and reading her Bible brought her peace and purpose. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Duckworth, and siblings Claude Head, JC Childs, Ella Jane Willis, and Mary Capehart. Betty's legacy lives on through her children: Kendall McNabb (Carrie), Lisa Gribble, and Lorrie "Kay" Hall; and her cherished grandchildren, Cory McNabb and Christine McNabb. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember her warmth and wisdom. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Adam Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at White Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Dalton Funeral Home. Visit the online obituary www.dalton-funeral-home.com to post tributes and share memories.
