Bertie Bailey, 87 of Pineville, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Bell County on March 26, 1938, a daughter of the late Boyd and Ethel Gibson Jones. Bertie was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church and had been a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bailey.

Bertie is survived by her children, Kathy and Jerry Baker, Jeanette Baker, Darryl and Karen Bailey, and Benita and Bruce Sanders; grandchildren, Cindy Baker, Stephanie Baker, Erica Baker, Courtney Bailey, and Brandy Sanders; special friend, Jenette Goodin; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Luther Collett and Rev. Denver Goodin presiding. Family and friends will gather at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home on Monday morning to leave in procession at 10:00 AM for graveside services at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to express their thanks to the Amedisys Hospice and Nikki for their compassion and care of their mother.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:30 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Bailey Family.
