Bertram (Bert) George Wisbrock, Jr., 90, died peacefully Sunday evening May 11, 2025.
Born in 1934 to Bertram Sr. and Marie Wisbrock of Villa Park, IL. Wed on April 27, 1957 to the love of his life, Phyllis Krisch Wisbrock, who preceded him in death.
Bert was a family man who enjoyed making popcorn for family movie night. Little league baseball with his boys, supporting and encouraging dreams of his family and bowling filled his younger years. Later he sang karaoke with the best of them. He enjoyed playing games, like Pinochle, Farkle and Dominoes.
A carpenter by trade had him precisely cutting firewood to perfection for a campfire even into his late eighties.
Forever young at heart. Greeting everyone with a smile and giving away Miraculous Medals was his favorite pastime in his later years. Always wanting to make a positive difference in the lives he was blessed to touch.
Father of Lynne (late John) Schneegas, Cathy (late Patrick) Kelley, Ray (Jeanne) Wisbrock, Mark (Mary) Wisbrock. Preceded in death by daughter Janice Borndahl. Grandfather of Mike Schneegas, Sean Schneegas, Heather Schneegas, Lisa (DJ) Hird, Cindy (Adam) Snider, Greg Kelley, Stefanie Jenkins, Adam (Lauren) Wisbrock, Kyle (Taylor) Wisbrock, Ashley (Michael) Stone. Lisa (Brian) Bending, (late Mark) and Robert (Nicole) Praner Great grandfather to Tommy and Katie Hird, (late Joseph), Ella and James Snider, Eli, Kennedy and Brooklyn Jenkins, Landon and Ruby Wisbrock. Nick and Kenzie Bending, Cody and Hailey Praner
Preceded in death by siblings Virginia Heinricks, Lois Wohler, Earl Wisbrock, Fred Wisbrock, Darlene (Mike) Salgado, Marge Schneider, George Wisbrock, and David (Bonnie) Wisbrock. Also survived by Ed (Barb) Wisbrock.
Uncle and cousin to many, friend to many more.
Bert was a man of great faith, which he loved to share with all he met. He would like all those that are reading this to remember that " God Loves You."

I was fortunate to see Bert every Sunday and talk to him. He was so good at handing out the Miraculous Medals and small prayer books. The last week that I saw him he took more time than ever to personally hand these out to everyone that didn't already have one.
Such a nice guy. I know he will be in heaven looking down on us at the 9am Mass.

I am deeply saddened by Bert´s passing. I only wish I had known his name sooner, so I could have greeted him by name at Mass each week. I´m an usher at St Pat´s Downtown Church at the 9:00am Mass. Bert would come to Mass every Sunday and give out Miraculous Medals and prayer books. I´m sure I´ve got a few from him. We always looked forward to seeing him before Mass. The last time I saw him was giving him a bulletin after Mass. Just wanted the family to know how much of an impact Bert had. Godspeed Bert.
