Beryl Cash Obituary
Beryl was born February 3, 1928 in Glasgow, Scotland.Beryl was proud of her Scottish heritage, but was also proud to become a citizen of the U.S. in 1962. She met Tolbert Cash in Scotland shortly after WWII and they were married in Glasgow in 1947. They lived at various U.S. military bases until moving permanently to Heavener, Oklahoma in 1969.
She was known for being impeccably dressed, her talkative nature, and her love of animals. Beryl did a lot of public speaking at area churches, schools and civic organizations. She retired from the Oklahoma State Employment Service in Poteau, where she worked for 30 years. Beryl was active in her church and taught Sunday School for 50 years.
She is preceded in death by Tolbert, her husband of 66 years. She is survived by her sons, Wayne and Derek, daughters Alana and Nadine, four grandchildren Cameron, Ginny, Aaron, and Emily, and five great-grandchildren.
