Bessie Mae "Baby Girl" Bull

Bessie Mae Bull, daughter of the late George Frank Reid and Etta Reid Mears, was born on February 13, 1941 in Painter, Virginia. She passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025 in Painter, Virginia.
Bessie was educated in Accomack County Public Schools. She worked in fields during her productive years and relocated to Clintondale, New York with her late husband, Charles Bull, whom preceded her in death. She later moved back to Virginia and worked at Buddy Boy Chicken Factory until it closed.
From that point on, Bessie was a stay at home wife. She became the caregiver of her mother and her nephew, whom she would call "Gabbie." Bessie always looked forward to her rides out with Gabbie. She also loved to tend to her yard. She handled all the upkeep herself until she became ill.
She was preceded in death by her nephews, Thomas Reid and Leotelos Reid.
She leaves to cherish loving memories, her brother, Charlie Reid (whom she called "Buggie"); sister-in-law, Hattie Reid; nephew, Charlie (Tryota) Reid; niece, Bessie Upshur; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, along with great, great-nieces and nephews, and family.
