Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, in Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/ St. Robert. Burial will follow in the Big Piney Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday from 1 pm until service time at 2 pm in Memorial Chapel.
She is survived by her two children, William L Ichord (Peggy) of Duke, MO, and Connie Merckling of Villa Rica, GA; five grandchildren, Jonathan Ichord (Rebecca) of Success, MO, Jessica Ichord of Duke, MO, Mindy Wood (Aaron) of Temple, GA, Matthew Merckling (Alexus) of Baxley, GA, and Melissa Porterfield
(Michael) of Villa Rica, GA; eleven great-grandchildren, Dean, Chole, Hayden, Isabella, Kayleigh, Breanna, Zoey, Dalton, Brody, Kinsey and Corbin; two sisters,
Alice Perry and Stella Petra; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Bessie Ichord and may be left at the funeral home.
