Bessie Mae Holiday Jacobs Obituary
Bessie was born in North Hampton Rich Square, NC on August 20, 1934 to Kenny and Anna Holiday.
Bessie met Lincoln (L.J.) Jacobs in North Carolina, and together they had seven children: Vonzola, Lucinda, Nathan, Karl, Robert Earl, Charles and Jerome.
Bessie and L.J. left North Carolina to come to Newark, NJ. Bessie was employed as a substitute teacher in the Newark Public School System.
Bessie and L.J. lived in Scudder Homes before moving to NCC for many years until her last days.
Bessie will be remembered as what everyone always said she was: Sweet, Beautiful and Sassy - and that she was!
Bessie leaves behind to cherish her memories: her four remaining children, a sister Jeannie Lee (Lil Doll), daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
