Bessie Louisa Rowser Warr, age 90, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Bessie was born on January 8, 1935, in Henefer, Utah, to her parents, Samuel and Irene Rowser.
On February 9, 1957, Bessie married the love of her life, Allen Warr, in her hometown of Henefer. Later, they built a nice home in West Valley City, Utah, where they raised their 4 children: Wes, Kathy, Shauna, and LeAnn.
Bessie was a member of the LDS church, and in her younger years, she was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed researching her family’s genealogy. Bessie had a variety of job titles and thoroughly enjoyed being a secretary at the Children’s Museum of Utah.
Bessie was adventurous and an avid bowler. She bowled on leagues with her daughter, LeAnn, and dear friends for many years. Yearly, she ventured to many states and bowled in league tournaments, also with her daughter and friends. Remarkably, at the age of 90, Bessie bowled in a tournament in Las Vegas in May of 2025. Bessie joined her friends weekly to have fun and play card games. Bessie took pride in her yard and had the most beautiful flower gardens. Bessie was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley. She had a love for his music and collection of memorabilia. Bessie’s main love and joy was her family. Getting together for family gatherings and family reunions brought her great joy. She was always on top of her Christmas list. She made sure each and every grandchild had a nice gift to open at her annual family Christmas party.
Bessie is survived by 3 of her children, Wes Warr (Darla), Kathy Cutler, and Shauna Armijo; 7 grandchildren, Wesley, Landen, Denise, Kody, Tina, Katie, Rusty, and their spouses; 20 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Bruce Rowser.
Bessie is preceded in death by her husband Allen Warr; daughter LeAnn Warr; brother Bob Rowser; and Parents Samuel and Irene Rowser.
Bessie’s loving, kind, and generous heart will be deeply missed. Her memories and legacy will live on in all of us. Rest in comfort and peace, Bessie. Till we meet again.
