Beth Ann Gilliam was born November 22, 1970, in Redbud, Illinois. She passed away March 3, 2025, in Sullivan, Missouri, at the age of fifty-four years.
Beth grew up in Southern Illinois then moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she graduated with the class of 1988 from Alhambra High School. On May 17, 2003, Beth was united in marriage to the love of her life, Timothy Gilliam. They shared nearly twenty-two years creating lasting memories together.
Beth was the proud mother of three children: Timberlyn, Mason, and Logan. They were the light of her life, and she was so proud to be their mom. Always putting her family first, she demonstrated deep loyalty throughout her life.
Beth was a hard worker and worked until her health no longer allowed her to. For many years, she worked as a vet tech. She also worked at the prison and was a school bus driver with the Viburnum school district. Beth loved the students and was deeply loved by many children. She had also worked for DCAI as a case manager.
Beth was a huge animal lover; her greatest love and passion was that of horses. She enjoyed riding, participated in team penning every now and then, along with team roping. She liked spending time fishing at Council Bluff Lake as well as floating trips on the rivers.
Beth is survived by her loving husband Timothy "Tim" Gilliam of Belleview, MO; children: Timberlyn Gilliam, Mason Gilliam, and Logan Metz all of Belleview, MO; sister: Paula Metz of Viburnum, MO; brother-in-law: James "Red" Gilliam; niece and nephew: Bobby Metz and Melissa Eaton; many cousins and great-nieces and nephews; along with dozens of very close friends.
Preceding her in death were her mother: Marti (Chambers) Rufus; and brother-in-law: Robert Metz Jr.
Beth was such a genuine and caring soul. She was well loved by her sister, many cousins, and friends. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor, which will carry on in the lives she has touched. Beth will be forever missed.
Memorial Services for Beth Ann Gilliam were held Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Living Hope Church, Viburnum, Missouri, with Pastor Kelly Eaton officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Viburnum, Missouri.
