Beth E Gray, 67, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday December 20, 2023 at her home in La Porte, IN.

 

She was born October 19, 1956 in Normal, Illinois, the daughter of Jeffrey Grey and Camille (McLean) Grey.

 

Beth came to the La Porte area as a child in 1967 with her mom. On February 9, 1980, in Niles MI, she married the love of her life, Lenny Gray, and they have shared that love for one another ever since.  It was rare to ever see one without the other. Beth was a secretary for First Choice Realty before retiring. She was a member of the VFW Post 1130 La Porte, and she and Lenny enjoyed spending time there with their friends. She truly loved the holidays but Christmas was her favorite time of the year. Beth was known for being an excellent cook and her family especially loved her oyster stuffing at Thanksgiving. She and Lenny enjoyed traveling and together they visited Mexico and Hawaii. Somewhat of a birdwatcher, Beth loved watching hummingbirds. It also seemed cats would find their way to her home and she would take care of them. But Beth's biggest passion in life was spending time with her family at family gatherings, especially her granddaughter Sydney. She will be truly missed by family and friends.

 

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lenny; two daughters, Alexis Gray of Michigan City, IN, Natalie (Bogdan) Sopterean of Lake Zurich, IL; brother, Timothy Grey of ID; sister, Roberta (Tim) Bean of La Porte, IN; grandchild, Sydney.

 

Beth was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Samantha Grey.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. Services are private. Burial to take place at Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
