Beth Meyerdirk Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Feb. 20, 2026.
________________________________________

Beth Anne Meyerdirk was born on November 30, 1971, to George and Susan Weertz in Detroit, Michigan. After a courageous battle with cancer, Beth went home to be with the Lord on February 16, 2026, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Beth's walk with Jesus began early in her life. She was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ as her Savior when she was in kindergarten. Her faith impacted the rest of her life, as she dedicated herself to serving and honoring the Lord.

Beth's educational journey began at Moody Bible Institute and continued at Madonna University, where she honed her passion for service and community. In February 1998, Beth married Todd Meyerdirk. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker, pastor's wife, and missionary as she raised her three daughters, Katelynn Bolhous (Meyerdirk), Emily Meyerdirk, and Haley Meyerdirk, and served in ministry alongside her husband. Beth considered her work not just a career, but a calling, touching countless lives through her generosity and faith in Christ.

Beth lived a life of selfless service. After graduating from college, she spent several years working with SEND, an international missions organization. Several years into their marriage, Beth served alongside Todd as he pastored churches. In 2013, Beth, Todd, and their three daughters moved to Hungary as missionaries with Word of Life Bible Institute. They served faithfully in Hungary until the discovery of Beth's cancer in the fall of 2024, when Beth and Todd returned to Michigan so she could receive medical treatment. No matter where she lived, and even during her battle with cancer, Beth consistently sought to serve those around her through prayer, financial support, meals, and many other acts of kindness. Until the end of her life, Beth generously served those around her.

Beth is survived by her husband, Todd Meyerdirk; her three daughters, Katelynn Bolhous and her husband, Alex Bolhous, Emily Meyerdirk, and Haley Meyerdirk; her brother, Christopher Weertz, and his wife, Jamie Weertz; and her parents, George and Susan Weertz.

Beth's legacy lives on not only in the memories she leaves behind but also in the lives she touched with her gentle spirit and selfless compassion. Her story is one of love, faith, and the beauty of a life lived for Christ. As we remember Beth, we celebrate the selflessness and joy she brought into the world and the peace she now finds in the arms of her Creator.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 at Northridge Church 49555 N Territorial Rd, Plymouth Township, MI 48170. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, and the memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will follow the service.
