Beth NeSmith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory - Statesboro on Dec. 12, 2025.
Mary Elizabeth Lastinger NeSmith, affectionately known as Beth, died in an accident on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in Statesboro, Georgia. Beth was born in Statesboro on April 19, 1968 and was the daughter of the late Minnie Bunch Joyner and Edward Lastinger. A lifelong native of Bulloch County, Beth attended Statesboro High School and spent several years working locally at Sparkers convenience store and Dairy Queen. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed putting puzzles together, a pastime that reflected her patience and attention to detail. Family meant everything to Beth. She treasured time spent with her loved ones, but nothing brought her greater joy than her grandchildren, Brogan and Brynsleigh McCullough, Milie Imhoff, and Barrett Rucker, who were the light of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Hunter "Tootie" NeSmith, and her son, Jonathan NeSmith, both of Statesboro; one brother, Raymond Joyner of Statesboro; and one sister, Rachel Gay, of Meansville, Georgia. She is also survived by her aunt, Sadie Driggers, and uncle, Eddie Bunch, both of Statesboro, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. A visitation will be held Saturday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Joiner Anderson Funeral Home, with Dr. John Waters officiating. Friends may sign the online register book at www.joineranderson.com. Joiner- Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory of Statesboro is in charge of the arrangements.
