Beth Ziegler (Otis), 97 years old, of Hortonville, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025. She was born on November 14, 1927 to the late Steve and Laura Otis. On the 11th of November in 1945 Beth was confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville (1st Timothy 1:15). Beth married Elray Ziegler on August 26, 1945 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville. Elray and Beth enjoyed many years of wedded bliss until his passing on June 17, 1988, they are now reunited again.

In life Beth's passion was her family. She loved to spend time with them above all else. She passed on a love of fishing to her children and grandchildren through teaching them how to catch, clean, and enjoy a good fish fry. Beth also instilled the joys of traveling in her family. Whether it was a trip out west, a drive to Tennessee for her grandchildren to visit their cousins, or a camping trip with the family, Beth loved to travel with her family. In her remaining free time, Beth enjoyed working with her hands. She would both knit and crochet; she passed down her skills in these crafts as well. In their later years Beth and Elray enjoyed spending weekends with their grandchildren, taking them for ice cream. In her work life Beth spent time working for Appleton State Bank, Dr. James Bergwall, and Northwest Health Center. Furthermore, Beth was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville, serving as their Assistant Treasurer for many years. She also served two terms as President, one term as Treasurer, and two terms on the standing committee of Bethlehem's Ladies Aid; in addition to this she served as Vice President of LWMS circuit and would host the Women's Bible Class at her house, twice a month for nine years.

Beth is survived by two of her children, Richard (Jane Herron) Ziegler and Rebecca (Waldo) Peter; grandchildren, Sarah (Joe) Vogelsang, Jason (Krista) Ziegler, Jeri (Jeff) Ohman, Jacqueline (Brian) Braemer, Stacy (Joe) Gorges, Shellee Brigett, and Kyle (Olivia) Ziegler; 15 great grandchildren, Hannah, Nolan, Lizabeth, Nathan, Emily, Cameron, Jackson, Bethany, Jasmine, Carter, Macy, Brianna, Allison, Payton, Haley; four great-grandchildren, Camelia, Everest, Sloane, Waylon; sisters-in-law, Ramona Schroeder and Lois Wohlrabe; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Elray; son and daughter-in-law, Steven (JoAnn) Ziegler; one grandchild, Chris Ziegler; parents, Steve and Laura; siblings, Jean (David) Eastman and Nyal (Dorothy) Otis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl (Joyce) Ziegler, Ralph Schroeder, Phyllis (Lloyd) Schroeder, Lloyd (Ione) Ziegler, and Melvin "Bud" Wohlrabe.

The Funeral Service for Beth will take place on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville with Rev. Kevin Westra officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
