Bette Marie Farneth, 97, of Ashland, died Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Rose Lane Nursing Home, in Massillon, with her family by her side.
Bette was born April 12, 1925 in Brush Valley, PA to Howard and Effie {Crawford} Sprinkle.
She married Charles Ray Farneth on October 23, 1943. He died on April 18, 2006. Bette worked for Samaritan Hospital and Riverside Hospital. She attended Untied Methodist Church of Ashland. She enjoyed reading, Bette read close to 500 books in her final years. Bette also enjoyed embroidering. Bette will be deeply missed by her; children Randall (Dee) Farneth of Canton, Arbie (Russ) Mathias of Beach City, and Dawn (Dana) Ricketts of Westerville ; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Bette was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Dennis; granddaughter Kristen; brothers Louis and Darl.
Friends may call Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Sandy officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s/ Dementia Association at act.alz.org.
