Bette (Miller) Gosser, 89, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 She was born on June 6, 1936 in Rush County, Indiana to Woodie and Ella Jane (White) Miller. She married Arlo Gosser on February 19, 1956. He preceded her in passing on February 19, 2001. She graduated from Raleigh High School in Raleigh, Indiana in 1954. Bette worked at the Girls Club, now known as Girl's Inc. for twenty years. She also worked at Alternative Care Experience, now Cub Care for thirty years. This was thru the Franklin Community School Corporation. Through the years, Bette cleaned three banks in the evening. She did childcare at Greenwood Methodist Church and she babysitted in her home. Bette loved working with children. She is survived by son, Greg Gosser of Plano, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Buchanan of Franklin; brother, John Miller (Sherry) of Rushville; sister, Linda Shanahan (Phil) of Rushville; four grandchildren, Ryan Gosser (Loni), Jessica Buchanan (Katie), Michael Sullivan (Amanda), Nathan Gosser (Jenny); two great grandchildren, Logan and Connor and several nieces and nephews. Bette enjoyed being with family and friends and cooking for them. She enjoyed cooking also for her friend, Harry. She enjoyed gardening and canning and watching TV, especially the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 20th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. A Celebration of Bette's life will follow on Friday, June 20th at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
