Bette Jo Ward

WARD: Betty Jo Ward, 91, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Mrs. Ward was born in Statesboro, Georgia and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida. She is the daughter of John and Sarah Woodward. Mrs. Ward was a clerk at The Bolles School for 13 years and had worked for State Farm Insurance for 15 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, eating out and traveling. Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, Wesley Lane Ward Sr; 3 sons, Wesley Lane Ward Jr. (Vicky), Gregory Lee Ward (Shelly), and Michael David Ward (Cynthia); 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: The American Cancer Society.
