WARD: Betty Jo Ward, 91, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Mrs. Ward was born in Statesboro, Georgia and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida. She is the daughter of John and Sarah Woodward. Mrs. Ward was a clerk at The Bolles School for 13 years and had worked for State Farm Insurance for 15 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, eating out and traveling. Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, Wesley Lane Ward Sr; 3 sons, Wesley Lane Ward Jr. (Vicky), Gregory Lee Ward (Shelly), and Michael David Ward (Cynthia); 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: The American Cancer Society. Arrangements under the direction of Moloney - Hewell Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, Jacksonville, Florida 32216.

Buddy, Lee, David, Lane, and the rest of the Ward family.
Although I only knew very short period of time I know she was very proud of her family and she's now in a better place.
You all have my deepest most sincere sympathies.

Dear Coach Ward,
Your wife was SO sweet. She was a huge help to many of us girls who invaded the campus in the fall of 1971. Her bubbly personality was the best. I know you will miss your sweet and loving companion. My sympathies are with you.
