Bettie Marie (Walton) Ivey, age 87, of Brewers, KY, passed peacefully from this life into eternal life with her Lord and Savior on September 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Bettie was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that will lead them all their lives. Bettie's life was a testament to her unwavering faith in God and her compassionate spirit and generous heart were a beacon of light to all who knew her. She was passionate about spreading the love of Christ, often volunteering to help those in need and only heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of faithful praying have had on her family, her friends, and all she encountered.

Bettie was born in Paducah, KY on September 5, 1937 to the late Herman Walton and Mary (Agnes) Walton. She was a Reidland High School graduate and later graduated from Rhema College in Broken Arrow, OK. Bettie married the love of her life the late Hurley Ivey in 1955. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with two children Michael & Mark. Bettie devoted her life to her family and working at Methodist New to You brought her immeasurable joy.

She is survived by her loving children Michael (Carla) Ivey & Mark (Lucy) Ivey. Her grandchildren that she loved so much, Kristina Ivey, Lauren Ivey & McKenzie (John) Samford. Four great grandchildren whom she adored and frequently doted on Ellie Brown, Jake Brown, Ava Pace & Addie Samford. Bettie was also a loving sister to Wayne Walton, Fay Atwill, Marianne (Ronnie) Spears, June Tubbs, Bobby (Cindy) Walton, Brenda (Toby) Tubbs, Gaylon Walton & Carol (Howard) Clark. Several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents Herman & Mary Walton, one brother, James Edward Walton, one sister, Wilma Jo Walton and her beloved husband, Hurley Ivey.

Bettie's faith was the foundation of her life.

She was a woman of prayer and found solace in scripture, often sharing verses of encouragement with others. She loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart, and she loved God's Word. Though Bettie has departed from this earthly life, her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. We find comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of the Lord, free from pain and filled with joy.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 W. 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
