You will be missed. Thank you for lending a hand when I needed it most.

Bettina became my dear friend and my right hand at a time when I needed her. We both had young children at home, but I was working part time and needed an assistant. Bettina always said I dragged her kicking and screaming out of her Tanglewood home into the boardroom". I met Bet at a Houston Ballet fundraiser and worked with her a a volunteer for the American Heart Association. She came to work with me when I was the Executive Director for the Houston Association of Radio Broadcasters. I quickly learned that Bettina could do anything! She was bright, capable, a wonder of organization. We were dear friends for over 30 years, raising our kids together. She went through Woman Within at my urging and much later she made me teach her everything I knew about equine assisted psychotherapy. Both of us became therapists, Bet attending University of Texas for her MSW and moving with her girls, Lila and Nora to Austin. We ran an experiential equine workshop together at my ranch in Colorado in 2010. Bettina was difficult to love. She rejected love and ultimately lost me, confused but unable to penetrate her determined indignation that I could not live up to her standards of friendship. I always hoped to see Bettina again in this lifetime. I send love to Andy, Lila and Nora.
