As a dedicated mother and grandmother, Betty was known for her exceptional cooking skills. She took great joy in cooking for her family. Her home was a place where memories were made, especially during family gatherings. Betty’s love extended beyond the kitchen: she adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren more than anything, taking immense pride in their achievements and delighting in the moments they shared together.
One of her greatest pastimes was camping. Spending time traveling to Florida to spend the winter months brought her great joy.
Betty is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Austin (Ginger) of Mercer, TN, and Wayne Austin (Debbie) of Alamo, TN. She also leaves a legacy of 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Austin; her sister, Hattie Jane Stewart; and her brothers, Joe Foster, Dalton Foster, John Foster, and Dewit Foster.
