Betty Lou Beasley

Betty Beasley, 90, of Lake Toxaway, NC, formerly of Sylva, NC, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 20, 2025. She was born October 27, 1935, to Ras and Julia Miller and was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Bob Beasley.

She is survived by daughters Deborah Beasley of Raleigh, NC, and Janice Wiley (Charley Wiley) of Atlanta, GA; Three granddaughters, Megan Sutton (Andy Tait) of Asheville, NC, Brittany Baughter of Raleigh, NC, and Sarah Baugher (Jassimyn Baugher) of Knightdale, NC. She is also survived by two great-grandsons, Jasper Tait and Ellis Tait of Asheville, NC.

Other survivors include her sister, Mary Sue Sellers (Jim Sellers) of Sylva, NC. and her brother, Kenneth Miller (Jeannie Miller) of Barkers Creek, NC; nieces Pam Morgan (Danny Morgan) and Carla Sellers of Sylva, NC.

The family expresses their appreciation to all the staff at Transylvania County Hospital and the TCU Rehab Unit for the care and kindness given to Betty during her recent hospitalization. In addition, Janice and Deborah want to thank her friends, staff, and transportation of the Quebec Senior Center Program for their many years of friendship and love to Betty.

Funeral Services will be held at North Toxaway Baptist Church, located at 51 Slick Fisher Road, Lake Toxaway, NC 28747, on Sunday, November 23, at 2:30 PM. Services will be preceded by visitation at 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Quebec Center Lunch Plus Program at PO Box 301, Lake Toxaway, NC 28747.
