Sally Beasley

Sarah "Sally" Hays Mainord Beasley went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. She was born on July 27, 1930 in Chattanooga, TN to Elbert R. Hays and Lena Starkey Hays. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mary Jo (Robert) Williamson and Agnes (Jacob) Whitt; her late husband, Dennis L. Mainord; late husband, Max Beasley; and her son, Dennis Landon Mainord Jr. She is survived by her children: Sharon (Allen) James of Hixson, Charlotte (Ralph) Brumley of Ringgold, Carolyn (Landon) Mainord of Dayton, TN, and Steven (Elena) Mainord of East Ridge; her step-daughters, Maxine (Buck) Brewer and Margaret (Lisa) Beasley; several nieces and nephews; and multiple grand and great grandchildren who affectionately knew her as Mema. She was a graduate of the 1948 class of Central High school and a founding member of Ashland Terrace Christian Church of Chattanooga, TN. She worked at the Hamilton County Court House, Chattanooga YMCA, Edgar Pickering Inc,. and her last 20 years at Olan Mills Inc, The family would like to thank Rosewood Assisted Living of Fort Oglethorpe and Hearth Hospice for their love and care for their Mom/Mema, She will always be remembered for her beautiful singing voice, her love of bowling, hand and foot card game, bingo, and her daily Christlike example throughout her ninety-five years of life.

A Celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace with Dr. Carroll Wallace and Jonathan Hyde officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Hamilton Memorial Gardens on 153 in Hixson, TN. Visitation will be on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers - Jeremy James, Ryan James, Wesley Mainord, Jeff Brumley, Matt Dover, and Chris Burdine.
