Betty Grace Dotson, 81, of Havana, Florida, passed away (unexpectedly), on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Tallavana Community Church in Havana. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
The graveside funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Rolling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Quitman, (Clarke County), Mississippi.
Mrs. Betty was born October 17, 1944 in Ocilla, GA, the daughter of the late Emory Hunter and the late Gladys (Daniel) Hunter. She graduated from Hardee High School class of 1963. She was an active member of Tallavana Community Church in Havana since 2005. She served as a Deaconness at Tallavana Community Church since 2017. She loved serving as a volunteer in her community such as Gadsden Women Jail Ministries, Havana Pregnancy Center, Community Cares, where she was known for organizing many events.
She was welcomed into Heaven by: Husband Bill Dotson, Sister Jean Brown, Unnamed Twin Brother, First Born Son, Mother Gladys Hunter and Father Emory Hunter
She is survived by her siblings: Mae Ann Alderman, Joyce Alexander, Linda Mixon, and Charles Hunter. She is also survived by her sons John (Tiffany) Dotson and Jeb (Stacey) Dotson; her grandchildren; Delaney & Lacey Dotson, Brittany Fitzgerald, Zackary Floyd, Laci Roberts, her great-grandchildren; Beau Floyd, Shiloh Wellington, and Anastasia Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Betty was cherished by all, a stranger to no one. Mother, Sister, Wife, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.
