Betty Jean (Dutton) Eeds was born on December 27, 1944, in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Johnny and Alena (Blevins) Dutton. She passed away peacefully at her home in Apache, Oklahoma on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the age of 79.
Viewing is planned for 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 11 at Crews Funeral Home. Family visitation is scheduled for 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, April 12 also at Crews Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 13 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Brandon Manley officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Will Weryackwe, Stevie Myers, Brannon Claborn, and Keith Spriggs.
Betty graduated from Carnegie High School. She married Jerry Eeds on September 30, 1963. Together, they raised their two sons, Gary and Robbie. Betty worked as a hairdresser, but in her free time, she was fond of working in her yard. She had a green thumb and loved planting flowers. Betty also enjoyed watching OU football and watching her Gary race cars. Betty will be remembered as a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to Jesus.
Survived by her sons, Gary and Robbie, and nephew, Terry Courtney, Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 40 years, Jerry; siblings: Clarence Dutton, Mildred Courtney, Gene Dutton, Billy Dutton, Joy Dutton, Carolyn Dutton, and Gusty Huffman.
