DANNIE REX EEDS Dannie Rex Eeds, 86, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Dannie Eeds was born in Stratford, Okla., on June 22, 1937, to the late Jack and Ina Eeds. Dannie went to and graduated from Stratford school system. He enjoyed playing sports and was especially reminiscent of his time playing basketball. After graduation, Dannie attended a trade school leading him to a 40 plus year career with Wrangler Corporation. His job led him to continue with Wrangler Corporation in Clarksville, Texas, where he raised his family until 1991. After leaving Clarksville, he returned to Seminole, Okla., finally retiring in Earlsboro, Okla. He met Peggy Sangster while working in an office and they were married on December 15, 1961. They had five children, Tod, Carmen, Jerry, Scott, and Tammy. Dannie is preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Tammy Heflin, parents, Jack and Ina Eeds, and sisters, Wanda Fae Flowers and Eva Mae Flowers. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Eeds, and children, Tod and Linda Eeds, Carmen and Chip Vance, Jerry and Cindy Eeds, and Scott and Melissa Eeds. He has 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. His services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Shawnee, Okla. Visitation will be Saturday, April 20 at 1 p.m. with the service starting at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be immediately after the service at Resthaven Memorial Park cemetery.
