Betty Lee (Oaks) Gamble, age 73, of Oak Hill, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe, with Bethany and Trenton by her side.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Bethany (Kolton) Strickland, and Trenton Colvin, both of Oak Hill, Roger (Bobbie) Combs, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Angie (Tyler) Slone, of Hazard, Kentucky, Paul Gamble, of South Webster, and Samantha Gamble, of California; special great grandson, Hayden Strickland, of Oak Hill; sisters, Phyllis Black, Johnnie Faye Myers, both of Toledo, Shirley Maggard, of Hazard, Kentucky, Lisa Combs, and Renee Charles (Kent), both of Bulan, Kentucky, and Amy Dotson, of Florida; one brother, Bubby (Judy) Combs, of Hazard, Kentucky; and special aunt, Dorothy Stamper, of Hazard, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gamble; daughters, Sandra Combs, and Maria Colvin; son, John Gamble; and son-in-law, Paul Colvin.
Betty loved to cook, and she loved to babysit. In her younger years, she enjoyed reading and writing. Lifetime movie network was always on her television. She cherished every moment spent with her great grandson Hayden, who’s laughter brought a sparkle to her eyes and renewed joy to her days.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 1-3 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will follow at 3:00. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
