Mineral Point- Elizabeth 'Betty' (Wagner) Gleichauf, age 90, of Mineral Point died peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Mineral Point Health Services.
Betty was born January 20, 1934, daughter to the late Henry and Helen (Finkelmeyer) Wagner. She graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1952.
On December 20, 1954 she was united in marriage to Albert Gleichauf in the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mineral Point. Betty worked at Burgess Battery and retired from Kwik Trip after many years of service. Betty enjoyed her family and friends, shopping, a trip to the casino and a good game of cards.
She is survived by her son Tony (Patti) Gleichauf of Dubuque, IA and her daughter Tara (Brian Drell) Gleichauf of Kenosha, WI; her granddaughter Brittany (Jason) Welter of Dyersville, IA. She is further survived by her brother Jerry (Sandra) Wagner of Mineral Point; her sister-in-law Pauline Clayton of Platteville; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Peaches.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Gleichauf and her parents Henry and Helen Wagner.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Ss. MARY & PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH in Mineral Point. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Mineral Point Health Services and Sienna Crest Platteville for the kind care provided to our Mom.
In lieu of flowers or donations the family would ask you to consider donating to your local humane society.
Betty was a proud daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, she was loved and will be missed.
