Betty Gripshover Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 4, 2025.
Betty Louise Gripshover, 95, of Covington, KY, passed into eternal life on
November 1, 2025. Born in Morning View, KY on November 2, 1929, she was the
daughter of the late Fred Gripshover and Elizabeth Martin Gripshover.
Betty was a longtime parishioner of St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, Covington, KY.
She enjoyed a life filled with simple pleasures and meaningful moments. She loved
traveling with her sister Rosella, and together they shared many wonderful adventures.
Betty retired from Gibson Greeting Cards in 1992 after many years of dedicated service,
and one of the highlights of her career was being crowned "Gibson Girl" in 1965, an
honor that reflected her warmth and charm. She loved spending time outdoors in her
yard, tending to her garden and planting flowers, especially her beloved zinnias that
brightened her home each summer. Betty enjoyed sewing and was very talented at it.
Her kindness, creativity, and hardworking spirit will be fondly remembered by all who
knew her.
Betty was greeted in Heaven by her parents as well as her seven siblings Mary
Gripshover, Fred Gripshover, Rosella Cross, William Gripshover, Rita Hoffman, Eddie
Gripshover and Elmer Gripshover. She was the beloved aunt of many nieces and
nephews.
Betty will be laid to rest and the Rite Of Committal will be celebrated at Mother Of God
Cemetery, 3125 Madison Ave, Latonia, KY 41015 on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 11:00
AM. Guests are asked to arrive at 10:45 AM and meet in the cemetery chapel.
