Betty Joyce Kluck, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Betty was born on May 21, 1932, in Sorgho, Kentucky, as a twin daughter of Joseph Everett and Mary Bessie (Thompson) Long. She attended local schools and graduated from St. Francis Academy High School in Owensboro, KY.
Betty married James H. Kluck on May 17, 1952, and together they settled in Stevens Point, where they raised five children. For nearly 20 years, Betty worked at St. Michael's Hospital as a medical unit clerk. After retirement, Betty was a very active volunteer at the hospital and in her church, Holy Spirit Parish. She volunteered in the church Rectory, was a Sacristan, sang in the Resurrection Choir, served as a Minister of the Eucharist, and was a past President and member of the Rosary Society.
Betty was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family and many dear friends. She had a competitive spirit and a love of fun-whether playing bridge with her club friends or lively games of 31 with her family. During the summer months, she could often be found on the golf course, and throughout the year she enjoyed reading, playing bingo, and cheering on her favorite sports teams. A proud supporter of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, Betty rarely missed a game-whether watching from home or in the stands. Above all, she was her family's biggest fan, always encouraging and celebrating her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all they did.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James (November 1, 2002), her parents, Mary & Joseph, her in-laws, Louise & Harry Kluck, her sisters, Patricia Brown, Lori Price, Edwina Lankert, Jayne Sullivan, her twin sister & best friend, Loyce Kluck, and her brothers, James and Bill Long.
Betty is survived by her children, Matt (Mary) Kluck, Centerville, OH, Mark (Kathy) Kluck, Stevens Point, Tim (Lisa) Kluck, Plover, Lori (Jay) Anderson, Fish Creek, & Greg Kluck, Tomah. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Robert Kluck, Katie Kluck, Erin Crabill, Kelly Kluck, Amanda Isaacson, Andrew Kluck, Erich Anderson, Jenna Anderson, Joshua Kluck, Thomas Kluck, James Kluck, Samantha Crotteau, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Betty's family would like to thank the staff at Dimensions Living, Interim Hospice nurses Julie & Wendy, and her medical team for their kindness and compassion given to her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Parish on October 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
Shuda Funeral Chapel is honored to be assisting the family.
