Betty Lou Ladner, age 86, of the Dedeaux Community, passed away in the early morning hours of August 26, 2024. Mrs. Ladner passed peacefully in her sleep to be in the arms of her beloved Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Ladner was a homemaker and matriarch of Diamond L Farms in Pass Christian. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Dedeaux and a recipient of the 2010 Lumen Christi (Light of Christ) Award from the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Arnold L. "Pat" Ladner; her son, Brian Patrick Ladner; her parents, Deonne and Leona Ladner; her siblings, Rena Hoda Moran, Velma Ladner, Relia Harriel, Mildred Smith, Hayward Ladner, Ora Ladner, Dennis Ladner, Jimmy Ladner, Denford Ladner, Vera Olier, Neva Olier, and Winfred Ladner.
Left behind to celebrate her life and enjoy her memories are her children, Kurt (Candy) Ladner, Sandra Ladner, Connie (Craig) Deschamp, Don (Dee) Ladner, Gary (Shonna) Ladner, all of Pass Christian, Lila Moran Necaise of Kiln MS; and Mark (Charlotte) Ladner. Her grandchildren include Kyle (Erica) Ladner, Karee Enroth, Denton Ladner, Raygen (Apri) Ladner, Brian (Amber) Deschamp, Cody Deschamp, Kim (Diego) Albino, Robbie Ladner, Lil Gary (Caitlyn) Ladner, Ty Ladner, Caise Ladner, Dayne Yarborough, J.J. Moran, Holly (Zac), Colby and Gracey Candebat, and Tasha Bernard. Her great-grandchildren, Ella and Tucker Enroth, Devon Ladner, Raelynn Ladner, Sawyer, Riley, Jackson and Chandler Grace Deschamp, Koby, Kole, Roper and Charley Rose Ladner, Jaxon Moran, Amelia, Harper, Lainey and Emerson Candebat. She also leaves behind her last remaining sibling, Howard Ladner of Kiln MS, and her dear friends, Priscilla "Missy" Overhue and Shannon Allen of Gulfport.
Mrs. Ladner's daughters would like to extend a heartfelt thank to Lakeview Nursing Center and Arden Hospice Care. Serving as pallbearers will be Raygen Ladner, Brian Deschamp, Lil Gary Ladner, Caise Ladner, Devon Ladner, J.J. Moran, Tony Wayne Ladner, Denton Ladner, and Craig Deschamp.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 9:30 am – 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in the church. Interment will be in Alphonse Malley Memorial Cemetery.
