Betty was born on December 14, 1929, the daughter of Charles and Ruby (Garner) Borum. She married James C. "Jim" Lindsey in Muncie on October 28, 1972. She worked for several years at AE Boyce Company before retirement. She was a member of Murpha Shrine Fez Mates and the Eagles Auxiliary.
She is survived by children, Connie (Gary) Schlafer, David (Cathy) Miller; step-children, Mike (Tammy) Lindsey, Dorene (Jay) Rickman, Cindy Long; son-in-law, Tim Haffner; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; niece, nephews, and cousins.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 40 years, James C. "Jim" Lindsey; daughter, Sandy Haffner; and her sister, Wanda Sayre.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Friday, November, 28, 2025, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Pastor Rodney Eiler will be officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
Friends and family may call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday, November 28, 2025 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Shriners Hospital for Children, ATTN: Office of Development, 2900 N. Rockey Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607
