Eva Christine Petro

Eva Christine Petro, 62, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at her residence in Farmland.
Eva was born November 5, 1963 in Muncie, the daughter of Herschel and Martha (Coulter) Richards. She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1981 and attended the Muncie Area Career Center.
Eva went to work for Red Dog Saloon where she worked for about 15 years, until opening Petro's Country Kitchen in 1995. She operated the restaurant until 2010 when she bought Jabo's Sports Bar in Farmland. Eva also managed several rental properties in the area.
Eva enjoyed going on cruises and traveling to many places with her friends and family. Eva also loved going to casinos and shopping for vehicles. Most of all, Eva enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandson, Brice.
Eva is survived by two sons, Nicholas (Suzanne) Petro, Jason Petro; Step Daughters, Michelle Petro, Janet (Petro) and Mark Bell; grandson, Brice Petro; her mother, Martha (Richard Blanch) Richards; Step Mother, Barbara Richards; two brothers, Arthur (Susie) Richards and Allen (Patricia Shoffner) Richards; Sister, Tabitha (Richards) and John Teague; Step-Sisters, Felicia and Pete Petroulos, Mary and Brian Griffin and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Petro; her father, Herschel Richards; brother, Steven Richards; paternal grandparents, Edgar and Rosie Richards; her maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Eva (Hernly) Coulter; brother-in-law, Leonard "Ed" Petro; and a sister-in-law, Pam Smith.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, from 10:00 am until service time at Noon on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
