Betty Miller Obituary
Betty Allen Miller, age 77, of Star, passed away peacefully at her home on May 18, 2025.
Born on September 21, 1947, in Randolph County, she was the daughter of Johnie and Alta Brown Allen. Betty dedicated many years of her life to the NC Department of Corrections, where she served as a mailroom clerk until her retirement. She was a member of Whynot Wesleyan Church, where she was the organist for 40 years. Betty enjoyed cooking and spending time in her flower garden. She found great joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren,
She is survived by her husband, Gary Miller of the home; son Ty Miller (Dawn) of Bluffton, SC; sisters Barbara Luther (Robert) of Seagrove; Ann Moffitt (Diffie) of Seagrove; brother Tim Allen (Pam) of Seagrove; as well as grandchildren Aiden, Trent, Connie and Penny.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Whynot Wesleyan Church at 3:00 pm with Rev. Darrell Rabon officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00-2:45 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Betty's memory to Whynot Wesleyan Church at 1402 NC Hwy 705 E. Seagrove, NC 27341 or Hospice of Randolph at 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27205.
