Roger Davis Sr. Obituary
Roger Lee "Buck" Davis Sr., age 70, of Seagrove, passed away on March 15, 2026, at his home.
Born on October 26, 1955, in Montgomery County, he was the son of Gurney and Ruby Sheffield Davis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Norton; his grandchild, Jeffery Hanks; and his great-grandchild, Reba Ryan.
He is survived by his daughter Polly Hanks (Todd) of Seagrove, sons Roger Lee Davis Jr., of Robbins, and Dustin Davis (Megan) of Robbins. Sisters Linda Allen of Robbins, Donna Brown (Johnny) of Robbins, Ruby Jean Colville (Eddie) of Robbins, Cathy Brewer (Darrell) of Robbins and brothers Leonard Davis of Robbins, Bobby Davis (Sandra) of Robbins, and Eugene Davis (Annette) of Steeds. Grandchildren Monica Eddins, Cody Dunn (Alecia), Natalie Davis, Aiden Chavis, Roger Davis, Hudson Davis, and Hayden Davis; great grandchildren Jaylen Lily, Carson Hanks, Malachi Hanks, Everliegh Brooks, Nathan Dunn, Skylar Dunn, Carter Dunn and one on the way. As well as eleven nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guest on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 5:00 pm for a Celebration of Life service at his daughter Polly Hanks home, located at 5965 Union Grove Church Rd., Seagrove, NC 27341.
The Davis family is being served by Phillips Funeral Home in Star.
