Betty Moore

Betty Jean Baxter Moore, 82, of McKinney, KY passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Born on February 20, 1943 in Liberty, KY to the late Albert Baxter and the late Zuella Leach Baxter. Betty worked at Cowden's Manufacturing in Lancaster before retiring. She spent many years faithfully working alongside her husband on their dairy farm. She had a special love for Jersey cows and found great joy in caring for her cats and dogs. The farm was not just her home, but her heart. She was a member of Geneva Baptist Church.

Survivors include her loving husband, Lowell Moore of McKinney; and one sister, Faye Mabry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Zuella Baxter; and eight siblings, Charles Baxter, Patricia Griffin, Dallas Baxter, Albert Baxter, Jr., Dolly Hale, Laverne Streeval, Neva Voiles and Matthew Simpson.

A one-day service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. The visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Gerald Sims officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
