Betty C. Nava, 88, passed away on November 22, 2025. She was born on September 5, 1937, in Mora, New Mexico, to Vicente and Elena Aragon, who precede her in death. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pete Nava; daughter, Carolyn Nava; mother-in-law, Maria Nava; father-in-law, Pedro Nava; siblings, Ben Aragon, Rita "Verna" Diaz, and Juan Aragon; brothers-in-law, Juan Nava, Mika Nava (Tiny), Talo Nava (Flora), Manuel Martinez, Joe Diaz, Andrew Sandoval; and sisters-in-law, Lola Nava, Eleanor Martinez (Steve), Charlotte Guerrero (Fabian), and Maxine Chicas (Leonel).

Betty enjoyed crossword puzzles, sudoku, and crocheting baby blankets. She loved the outdoors and took great pride in tending to her yard. She was an excellent cook and was especially known for making the best biscochitos. Betty cherished time with her children and grandchildren, never missing their sporting events and always cheering them on. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church and remained very active until the pandemic. Betty had a special love for children and volunteered whenever she could. She enjoyed sharing her stories, life lessons, words of wisdom, and unconditional love with all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Donna Sisneros (Marcus) and Carol Aguiniga (Robert); her bonus daughter, Veronica Baros (Dave); and her grandchildren, Amanda Rodriguez (Hunter Reinert), Selena Aguiniga, and Gabriel Aguiniga. She is also survived by her sister, Marcella Sandoval; sisters-in-law, Maxine Aragon, Rachel Martinez, Ruthie Martinez (Zeke), and Mary Nava; brother-in-law, Zeke Nava (Marcelline); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren who will miss her dearly.
