Lorenzo Nava, born April 25, 1944, in El Paso, Texas, passed away on November 14, 2025.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Lorenzo lived a life marked by hard work, loyalty, and an unwavering commitment to God and to those he loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Bethel Nava, lovingly known as Shirley, with whom he shared many years of companionship, laughter, and music. He leaves behind his sons, David & Sylvia Nava and Gilbert & Brenda Nava, who will forever carry with them the lessons, strength, and example he set. Lorenzo was also the proud grandfather of Sophia and Andrea, who brought joy and pride into his life.

Lorenzo is also survived by his two sisters, Martina Yarbrough and Maria Girven, who will cherish the memories of their brother's steady presence, generous spirit, and quiet wisdom, his step daughter, Audrey Sabaitis along with her son Terry Johnston and her nephew David Wanser.

A proud veteran, Lorenzo served his country in the United States Navy, stationed on the USS Oklahoma. After completing his service, he dedicated 23 years to ASARCO, where he worked with the same reliability and skill that defined every part of his life.

Lorenzo was a man with a rare gift: he could fix anything. His craftsmanship extended far beyond repairs-he built his own home, creating with his own hands the place where memories were made and love lived. He enjoyed visiting casinos, playing pool, and, in his younger days, dancing with a light-hearted energy that family and friends fondly remember.

In the quiet moments of his later years, Lorenzo found joy in listening to fiesta Mexican music with Mary, sharing a simple but profound connection through the songs they loved.

Lorenzo will be remembered for his steady strength, his resourcefulness, and the warmth he shared with everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on in the home he built, the family he raised, and the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
