Betty J. Neis, age 84, of Township of Lowell, died on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam.

The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, 214 South Main Street in Reeseville on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 10:00 AM until the time of service. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Donald Steinberg officiating. Burial will be at Lowell Cemetery.
Betty Jane Sohre was born on July 15, 1929 in Horicon, Wisconsin to Herbert and Mayme (Lepple) Sohre. After graduating from Horicon High School, she worked for the state at Horicon Marsh. Betty married Lyle Neis on August 14, 1965. She helped Lyle with his dairy farm, and after his death, she continued to be active on the farm until her retirement.

Survivors are her sons, Tim Neis of Township of Lowell and Ronald (Jun) Neis of Chum Phae, Thailand; step-sons, Richard Neis of Beaver Dam and Charlie (Jeanne) Neis of Township of Lowell; step-grandchildren, Julie Neis (Mike Firari) of Lowell, Candice (Matt) Wagner of Wauwatosa, Laura Neis (fiancAC., Gregg Weaver) of Beaver Dam, and Lisa (Justin) Maertz of Watertown; great grandchildren, Lane and Brynn Wagner, and Brady Maertz and many other friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

If desired, memorials may be made in Betty Neis''s name to the Reeseville Food Pantry or to a charity of choice.
