Betty Mae Nunn

Nunn, Betty Mae age 84 of Dover, NJ passed away unexpectedly Monday October 2, 2023 at the Saint Clare's Hospital Dover Campus. Born in Newton, NJ she grew up in Paterson, NJ and had resided in Dover, NJ for many years.
Daughter of the late Elmer Brice and Gertrude (nee Hughes) Kinney, Betty married her beloved husband, the late John Henry Nunn III in 1959 while he was serving in the United States Navy. During his thirty-year Navy career, they lived and traveled all over the world.
Betty had worked many years, retiring as a Quality Control Supervisor with Carolan Packaging of Rockaway, NJ. She had been an active member of the Dover American Legion Ladies Auxiliary as well as the Rockaway Elks Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Nunn was predeceased by her husband John Henry III in 2017 as well as her brothers Elmer and Arthur Kinney. She is survived in life by her daughters Debra M. Nunn and her husband Daniel Hatchard of Dover and Doreen M. and her husband David Pickett of Rockaway, her sons John H. and his wife Donna Nunn IV of Randolph and Kevin M. Nunn of Dover. Also surviving are her grandchildren Catherine, Rocky, John, Sean, Kenny, Kelly, Timmy, Jennifer, Melyssa, Meghan, Joshua, Celia, and John as well as her twenty greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday October 5, 2023 from 4 to 8 PM with funeral services Friday morning October 6th at 10 AM all in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home One Baker Ave. (Rt. 46) Dover, NJ 07801.Interment will immediately follow the funeral in the Locust Hill Cemetery Dover, NJ.
