Gary Lee Riker age 66 of Effort, PA passed away Tuesday June 10, 2025 at the Saint Lukes Hospital Monroe County, PA. Born and raised in Rockaway Twp., NJ he had spent many summers in the Adirondack Park Upstate New York. Son of the late Albert and Alice "Bernice" (McConley) Riker, Gary had worked as painter and carpenter but most recently was working with the city of Succasunna, NJ. An avid hunter and fisherman, Gary also enjoyed raising chickens as well as the art of taxidermy. A talented builder, Gary was always working on some sort of construction project. Mr. Riker was predeceased by his brother Butch Ricker. Survivors include his daughters Michelynn and her husband David Salinas of Houston, TX, Sahra Swift of Effort, PA and Ammie Smith of Vineland, NJ. Also surviving are his brothers Michael Riker of New Jersey, Henry Ricker of Magnolia, TX, Dan Riker of Aragon, GA, David Riker of Dover, NJ, Jerry Riker of Homer, NY, his sister Jean Anderson of Dover, NJ as well as his fifteen grandchildren and his best friends Timmy Arno, Al Arno, and Mariano "Junior" Lovell and many other loved NY family and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday June 18, 2025 from 10 AM till Noon with funeral services beginning at 12 PM all in the Smith Taylor Ruggiero Funeral Home One Baker Ave. (Rt. 46) Dover, NJ 07801. Interment will immediately follow in the Restland Memorial Park Cemetery #77 Deforest Ave East Hanover, NJ. Online condolences through www.smith-taylor-ruggierofuneralhome.com.
