Betty Ann Penner was born to John and Amanda Koehn Penner on November 4, 1941. She left for her eternal reward on October 10, 2025 at the Moundridge Manor while under hospice care for a short time. Betty answered the call of God in her younger years and remained faithful until the end.
She was born and raised in Isabella, Oklahoma along with her brother and sister, enjoying farm life, picking cotton, harvesting watermelons, and helping with the gardening.
She lost her mother at age nineteen leaving her to continue helping in the home.
Betty enjoyed the simple things in life such as putting puzzles together, crocheting, piecing quilt tops, and making blankets that others and our families benefitted from. One of those being some crocheted slippers she brought when visiting and the fun we had sliding across the polished kitchen floor.
When her Dad and Stepmother moved to the Manor she moved to her own home in Isabella enjoying it there until she moved into the Moundridge Manor where she was loved and cared for in her sunset years.
She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Lou Ella Deming; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Preceding in death were her father, mother, stepmother, brother and four infant siblings.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Cedar Cemetery, rural Fairview, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions may be made to Moundridge Manor in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, KS 67107.
