Betty Jo Pollock, age 91, of Leesburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Pickaway Manor Assisted Living in Chillicothe.
She was born on April 29, 1934, in Adams County, Ohio, to the late Roby and Grace (Jones) Reed. She was a 1952 graduate of Washington High School. Betty was a faithful member at the old Gregg Street Church of Christ in Christian Union and now Heritage Church. She assisted with the Bible quiz team and was also a Girl Scout leader for several years. Betty was a housewife and stay-at-home mother. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, drinking coffee on her front porch swing, spending time with her grandchildren, and reading the Bible.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Andrew Pollock, whom she married on Aug. 22, 1953, and her beloved daughter, Dianne Lynn Pollock.
Survivors include her children, Deborah Ebright, Denise Hinton, Amy (Danny) Reeves, and Tim (Sonya) Pollock; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, with another great-grandson arriving in August; and her sister, Mary Lou Herzfeld.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Pickaway Manor Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice for the excellent care they provided during this most difficult time.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Heritage Church, 1867 Old US 35 NW, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating, with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the Church on Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
