Linda K. Garringer, age 81, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She was born January 8, 1945, in Washington Court House, Ohio, to the daughter of the late Arthur and Ruby (Brown) Leeth. Linda was a 1963 Graduate of Washington High School and had worked as a cook in the Miami Trace School District for many years. Linda enjoyed tending to her flowers, and gardening. Spending time around the fire pit roasting hot dogs was very special to her. Above all, Linda loved being with her family and cherished every minute. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jesse Allen Garringer, to whom she married September 18, 1965; children, David (Pam) Garringer of Simi Valley, California, Jill (Ron) Sayles of Xenia, and Julie (Nathan) Gannon of Miami Beach, Florida; granddaughter Katherine Garringer; siblings Carolyn Bacon, Jeannie Burner, and David Leeth; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Hartinger. Funeral service is being officiated by Pastor Josh Bevan and will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Powers-Kell Funeral Home, Jamestown. Interment will follow in the Silver Creek New Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
