Obituary: Betty Ann Ramsey

Betty Ann Ramsey, 74, of Aurora, IN, passed away peacefully at Hospice at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, October 3, 2025.

She was born on January 21, 1951, in Nashville, Tennessee, daughter of the late Riley Scott and Elsie (Reed) Scott.

Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Ron Ramsey; seven children: Sherry McGowan, Rhonda Rupp, Ronnie Ramsey, Natalie Withrow, Bobby Golden, Gina Ramsey, and Crystal Ramsey; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought great joy to her life.

She is also survived by two sisters, Darlene (Michael) Jordan and Karen Broughton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Elsie Scott; her brothers, Wayne Scott and Foy Scott; and her sister, Elaine Delk.

Friends and family will be received Thursday October 9th from 11 am to 12 pm at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana 47001.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 12 pm with Noah Jordan officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt. Sinai Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
