Betty Scerbo Obituary

Betty was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Filomeno V. Scerbo in May of 2024, her parents Karl and Henriatta Haider, her brother Karl Haider, two sisters Mildred Oliver, and Joan McMahon. She is survived by her loving daughters Christine and Gregory Scileppi, and Denise and Robert Kearns (Chief of Police JCPD). She was the cherished grandmother of Brian (Kayla) Scileppi, and Susan Scileppi, as well as a great grandmother to Lana, and Luca. Betty is also survived by her sister Margaret (Andrew) Manzo, and a sister-in-law Lucy Ann Scerbo.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday June 30, 2024, from 1-4 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 am on Monday July 1, 2024, at Our Lady of Mercy Church 40 Sullivan Drive Jersey City, NJ 07305. Entombment to follow at Holy Name Mausoleum, Jersey City, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers by going online to www.T2T.org

There are just too many fond, funny and wonderful memories of our Betty Bets to record here. She was one special woman with many talents. Gus and I are very saddened to hear of her passing. Our condolences to Chris and Denise as well as to the rest of the Scerbo family. She will always be remembered in our hearts and minds.
