Jeffrey E. Willever

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Edward Willever, 63, of Spring Lake, New Jersey, who died on August 12, 2025. Born on April 28, 1962, in Point Pleasant, NJ, Jeff was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. His presence in the community and the lives of those who knew him will be greatly missed.

Jeff was the son of Gladys Willever and late Elton Willever of Spring Lake, NJ. He was a proud father to his son, Logan Willever of Brick, NJ. Jeff is also survived by his brothers Charlie and Phyllis Willever of Point Pleasant, NJ, and Morton and Jayne Willever of Loxahatchee, FL. He is further survived by his longtime girlfriend, Shelagh McCarthy of Cliffwood Beach, NJ, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives he touched over the years.

A dedicated and hardworking individual, Jeff spent 36 years of his life working with the Monmouth Park System, earning the respect of his colleagues and contributing greatly to the organization. He was also a man of service, volunteering with the Goodwill Fire Company #2 of Spring Lake starting at the age of 18. Throughout his time with the company, he earned Life Membership and served as president for several terms. For 20 years, Jeff was also the president of the Fireman Relief Association, a role in which he helped support his fellow firefighters and their families.

Jeff's commitment to service went beyond his career and volunteer work. He was an Eagle Scout with Troop 31, having earned the prestigious award in 1979. His love for the outdoors was evident in his many years as a member of the 3 Foot Gun Club, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and running his dogs. He found peace by the water, often watching the boats at the Manasquan Inlet with a cup of coffee-a place that brought him joy and reflection.

Known for his strong character, warmth, and generosity, Jeff's contributions to his community were immeasurable. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, his unwavering commitment to service, and the memories of the good times spent with those who loved him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday September 20, 2025, from 12 noon to 3:00 pm with a celebration of Jeff's life beginning at 2:00 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnels to Towers or the American Heart Association, organizations Jeff held dear.
