Wayne Willever, Sr. Obituary
Wayne H. Willever Sr., 87, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024, in Bethlehem. Born on October 7, 1936, in Phillipsburg, NJ, to the late Howard and Esther (Mackes) Willever. He attended Phillipsburg High School, where his passion for sports was evident through his dedicated participation on the football team.
He went on to share his life with his beloved wife, the late Esther Ann (Silfies) Willever, until her passing in 1999. Wayne is survived by his loving family, including his children, Wayne H. Willever, Jr. and Lorraine Febert; his grandchildren, Angela Stafford and Rachel Febert-McFarland; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Aria McFarland and Celeste Stafford. His sister, Emma Bartholomew and her husband Bill, predeceased him.
For many years, Wayne made his career as a printer at Lehigh Litho Inc. Upon his retirement, he continued to express his love for his community by hosting annual block parties, events filled with joy and fellowship that neighbors looked forward to every year.
An incorrigible collector, Wayne's treasures ranged from cars and tractors to Western Memorabilia and coins. His adoration for football and baseball kept him engaged with the sports world, celebrating every play and homerun with the fervor of a lifelong fan.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
