I had the privilege of serving as a TA for Dr. Hsu during my undergraduate years. He was not only a brilliant educator but also a kind and generous mentor. His passion for teaching and the care he showed to every student left a lasting impression on me.
Beyond the classroom, our families had a few connections, and I always felt a quiet warmth in his presence. He carried both intellect and kindness with humility.
Rest in peace, Dr. Hsu. My thoughts are with his family-I hope they find comfort in knowing how many lives he touched, and I wish them continued strength and peace.
With deep gratitude and remembrance,
Felicity Zhang

I will miss Jim Hsu dearly. I always thought of him as the "Sage of Mountaintop," with great respect, for his wisdom. Here was a man who had reflected deeply on many matters, not just engineering.

I worked with Dr. Hsu at Lehigh University when he was the Faculty Graduate Coordinator. He always had a chuckle when we worked together and a kind man. May he rest in peace. May God comfort his family at this difficult time. Respectfully, Barbara Scherer, retired Administrator of Graduate Studies in the Chemical Engineering Dept.
