Betty Settle Obituary
Betty Jean Settle, age 93, went to be with the Lord, December 24, 2024. She was born November 16, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Lindon Claire and Mary Baugh Combs. Betty was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Earl Kenneth Yates and her 2nd husband, Clyde Settle; sisters, Kathleen Overcash and one infant sister Joann Combs; brothers, Robert Franklin Combs, Elder George Ben Combs, and Billy Jack Combs.
Betty is survived by her son, David Allen Yates and wife, Deborah; grandchildren, Holly Yates Roberts and husband, Colin, Ryan Yates and wife, Brittany, Hannah Yates; five great- grandchildren; brothers, Dwaine Combs and wife, Joan, and L.C. Combs and wife Pauline; sisters, Norma Elkins, Naoma Bender and husband, Gilbert, Sandra Robinson and husband, Rev. Larry Robinson, Sue McQuire and husband, Kelly, and Voneva Brady and husband, James; sisters-in-law, Lois Combs, Elsie Combs and Connie Yates.
The funeral service will be conducted 2 pm Sunday, December 29, 2024, in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Kevin Bowman officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service on Sunday. The burial will be private in Russell Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church and Cleveland Life Saving Crew.
